The Animal Emergency and Referral Center is an urgent care facility for the emergency treatment of pets. During the daytime we also serve as a regional referral center with veterinary specialist services. A licensed veterinarian is on the premises at all times. Together with a dedicated support staff we provide emergency and critical care for pets on a 24 hour basis including holidays when your veterinarian is resting or otherwise unavailable.

HOSPITAL ROUNDS ARE SPECIAL HERE!

Each morning we conduct "hands on" medical rounds where all of our specialist doctors, the emergency/critical care doctor, and the technicians gather to actively participate in case presentations. Each hospitalized patient is presented and examined by a different clinician each day. Then, we have a group discussion about the patient's problems, diagnostics, treatment plan, and recommendations for management. This format (involving input from multiple sources) enhances the quality of patient care.
